Follow up Increases Sales 80% with Only 20% Effort

Did you know that 80% of all sales are made after the 5th contact? And that people who have already bought from you are your best bets for new products and services?

Instead of chasing new business, remember the faithful–your product buyers, your clients, your teleclass attendees, your ezine subscribers.

When you spend only a little time (20%) with “thank you’s” and offers to the faithful who have already used you, you’ll reap the 80% results. That translates to increased sales and more clients..

How to Follow Up for 80% Increased Sales with Only 20% Effort

1. Keep a separate list of all of your different groups in your e-address book. Include ezine subscribers, customers, clients, and teleclass participants. To each one, send a thank you or a free report targeted just for them.

In a recent “thank you” message to my valued customers, my freebie offered a chance to ask me any question about book or Web writing, publishing or Online promotion by email.

Every month or so, I send a free special report or other freebie to one of my 30 groups–sometimes to all of them if it is appropriate.

2. At the end of the freebie, I add a list of 3-5 ways my customers could continue receiving my help, including a free subscription to my monthly ezine, a low-cost or free teleclass like “Finish your Book in Less Than 30 Days,” or a free list of all of my 105 articles in categories by autoresponder.

Thank you’s and free gifts keep your name in front of your buyers. It tells them you appreciate them while your added message reminds them of a new service or product that may benefit them.
