ClickTracks Unveils Version 5.0 of its Web Analytics Software

Share

ClickTracks Analytics, Inc. (www.clicktracks.com) today announced the availability of version 5.0 of the company’s web analytics line of software. ClickTracks Analyzer 5.0 and ClickTracks Professional 5.0 keep the same intuitive, highly visual user interface of previous versions of the programs, while adding more features.

Earlier versions of ClickTracks have won several awards. ClickTracks was voted “Best Web Site Analysis Tool” in ClickZ’s 2003 Marketing Excellence Awards, and received a Computerworld Innovative Technology award in the web site management category.

Earlier versions of ClickTracks have also received favorable reviews. CNET awarded ClickTracks five stars and Tucows.com gave ClickTracks a 5 Cow rating.

According to John Marshall, a Netscape alumnus who is CEO of ClickTracks, “The power of ClickTracks lies not just in the ability for anyone to understand the information, but also that it’s possible to find that information quickly.”

Version 5.0 of ClickTracks maintains the ease of use of earlier versions, while adding more power.

Both ClickTracks Analyzer 5.0 and ClickTracks Professional 5.0 include the following new features:

The ClickTracks Way, a context-sensitive, in-program mechanism that suggests tips, articles, movies and other appropriate content. The ClickTracks Way functions under the premise that “you don’t know what you don’t know,” bringing ways of looking at or interpreting data to the attention of users that they might not have thought of before.

Page Views per Visitor, which shows the average number of pages that a visitor sees.

Six-month tab, which shows data trends and info over six months.

ClickTracks Professional 5.0 also includes the following additional features:

The What’s Changed Report. Each time ClickTracks is opened, the What’s Changed Report alerts users to unusual activity since their last session. Whether it’s been 5 days or 5 months, ClickTracks will automatically calculate significant changes taking place, and will filter out those that are not significant. Additionally, marketers can manipulate the date range of the report, or see the report segregated by visitor labels. The What’s Changed report shows:

    o Numbers of visitors,

o Rising and falling search queries,

    o Rising and falling referrers,

    o Rising and falling campaigns,

o Rising and falling entry pages,

o Rising and falling visited pages, and

    o Rising and falling countries.

The Before and After Visitor Label, which lets users select an event or date, then generates a report that compares activity before the event with activity after the event. This enables users to compare visitor behavior before a campaign and after a campaign. ClickTracks’ new Before and After Visitor Label, which is available from the label wizard, can also be used to evaluate the effect of a web site update or changes to search engine crawler algorithms.

Geo-IP, which determine a visitor’s country of origin. The new GeoIP functionality enables users to see immediately the countries where their visitors reside. Users can integrate the GeoIP with other labels to discover visitor trends from a specific location.

Easier Server Configuration. The new user interface makes it easier for users to implement and customize settings.

ClickTracks Analyzer 5.0 costs $495 for a new license, $995 for a 3-pack, and is a free upgrade to users with a current support contract. Prices for ClickTracks Professional 5.0 start at $2,995, although it is also a free upgrade to users with a current support contract. Prospective buyers can determine which version best suits their needs and try a demo of the products by visiting www.clicktracks.com and selecting “products.”

Based in Santa Cruz, California, ClickTracks has a growing number of brand-name customers, including General Electric, Nokia, and Nissan. In addition to ClickTracks Analyzer and ClickTracks Professional, the ClickTracks line of software includes ClickTracks Hosted and ClickTracks ISP.
