Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer recently added a new line of products to their health and personal care section. Amazon realized many people have a variety of needs in the health and personal areas and they merely strive to meet those needs by offering a number of products aimed for sex and sensuality.
Amazon continues to add to their possible offerings and this is no different. These types of products are generally offered in a few different manners. First, there’s the adult retail stores, usually a secluded book story or perhaps something a little more obvious like a Hustler store. Then there’s the “fun party” route which is something akin to Tupperware only slightly more adult theme. Finally, ordering online and while there are other websites Amazon is certainly the most prominent.
Their “Sex and Sensuality” session offers a wide variety of products ranging from oils to contraceptives to vibrators. There are no dirty pictures and certainly no bad puns other than the occasional odd name for one of the products. Right now, Amazon offers over 37,000 products in this line and prices can vary a great deal.
The reason this could be significant is that some states actually have laws against selling this type product. Alabama passed ordinances disallowing the sale of certain types of these products, stopping the “fun parties.” How they deal with states with laws against such products is unknown.
In any event, this really is a good idea for Amazon. They’ve present the products in a tasteful, clean environment and perhaps they will drive the market a bit for similar products. Amazon keeps most of their offerings pretty tame and really, this is no different.
