For a search engine like BlowSearch, making inroads into the ultra competitive search engine market is no easy task.
With major engines like Google, MSN, and Yahoo! occupying the search industry’s top tier, lesser known BlowSearch has become a viable underdog with this recent hire. BlowSearch has recruited former Kanoodle business development executive, Joseph Holcomb, to help drive their growth and spur new opportunities for the company.
Mr. Holcomb joins the BlowSearch team having extensive relationships with leading Internet marketing and Web development companies. He spent two years with Kanoodle where he established a network of over 700 business-to-business referral partnerships which supplied tens of thousands of advertisers to the company. His efforts assisted in positioning Kanoodle as a serious player in the search engine advertising market.
Mr. Holcomb was also involved in key software developments at the company and worked closely with Kanoodle’s client service, software programming, and product development divisions.
As senior vice president of marketing at BlowSearch, Mr. Holcomb will assist in planning and directing BlowSearch’s marketing and advertising efforts. This will include developing new business-to-business partnership opportunities for the company.
“BlowSearch is expanding rapidly with both the content and services it provides to its customers,” said Richard Kahn, COO, of BlowSearch. “Joe will be critical in communicating the value of these opportunities to both new and existing clients.”
Mr. Holcomb comes to BlowSearch with over seven years of experience in the search engine marketing and Web development industries. Mr. Holcomb has held positions at Internet Web Design & Hosting, which he founded, and Buffalo Niagara Partnership, where he was membership development manager. He has extensive knowledge in IT infrastructure, Web design, and marketing. That experience, coupled with his successful track record in the search engine industry, makes Mr. Holcomb an attractive addition to the staff at BlowSearch.
Mr. Holcomb added, “BlowSearch has shown commitment to advertisers and searchers through the quality of their products and services and has some exciting new developments planned to launch this year. I look forward to maximizing the market reach of the company through showcasing its quality and commitment to advertisers and search users alike.”
