Mortage Company Utilizes XML

Mortgage Builder Software released its XML interface with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and its plans to update Loan Prospector (LP) interface with XML file language later this year.

Upgrading DU and LP to the Mortgage Industry Standards Management Organization’s (MISMO) XML requirements marks a significant milestone for the company, as it continues updating the enterprise wide system and working toward full XML compliance for all of its interfaces.

“Most of our customers use DU and LP, and introducing XML interfaces ensures business continuity for those already adhering to MISMO’s standards,” said Keven Smith, Mortgage Builder Software, Inc. “We keep life simple for our customers by proactively embracing new technology initiatives and building our systems around their processes, rather than building their business around our technology.”

“XML compliance has been on the minds of small to mid-sized lenders for a few years now, but surprisingly few have taken action,” said Sam Isaac, president, Automation Consulting. “Creating XML interfaces for core LOS systems inspires those lenders still waiting to jump on board to commit to the MISMO movement, and the industry as a whole to improve software communications.”

In addition, Mortgage Builder Software offers an XML interface with QuestSoft, a provider of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance solutions and geocoding services for brokers and lenders. The company also has interfaces to a number of preferred credit bureaus including CBC Companies, LandAmerica Info1 and Factual Data. The company plans to update all of its core interfaces with XML language over the next year.
