Performance and Productivity Applications Help HR Managers

Performance and Productivity Applications Help HR Managers to Align Corporate Goals, Individual Performance, and Staff Development Initiatives.

WorkStrategy, a leading provider of innovative human resource management (HRM) and technology services, today announced the launch of its Organizational Development (OD) consulting practice. The new HRM services division will deliver a series of process improvement and technology services to companies overhauling existing human resources processes or deploying related workforce management software. WorkStrategy consultants will target traditionally inefficient tasks such as employee assessments, skills management, compensation planning, and workforce training.

The Organizational Development practice will be spearheaded by James Harvey, practice director, an industry veteran with extensive workforce development experience. Harvey will be responsible for building the business line – developing client relationships, managing consulting services, and establishing alliances with leading technology providers. Harvey was formerly a senior product manager with PeopleSoft, a leading human capital management software provider based in Pleasanton, CA.

“While companies are increasingly focused on workforce management strategies that align employee performance with business imperatives, many organizations are challenged to integrate these practices in a way that leverages their existing HR technology investment,” notes James Harvey, Organizational Development practice director, WorkStrategy. Comments Harvey, “Our methodologies are designed to help customers automate critical business processes leading to more timely and informed decision-making.”

“The cost of not providing staff development and employee performance tools to managers can be significant. Companies must focus on enterprise-wide performance programs that link objectives and monitor progress,” states Brian McIntyre, president and CEO, WorkStrategy. Adds McIntyre, “We are finding that many organizations have already purchased sophisticated HRM technology but need to invest in process improvement and best practices.”

WorkStrategy believes organizations that integrate workforce management programs with enterprise technology realize the benefits of their investment more quickly. Aligning human resource management initiatives with business goals and employee communication can be a challenge – due to both cost and cultural impact.

Increasingly, we’ve found our clients focusing on the following organizational development initiatives:

— Aligning employee performance with business imperatives

— Developing employee skills to achieve performance objectives

— Optimizing critical skills across functional organizations

— Building leadership bench strength

— Rewarding performance achievement
