SoftBrands Announces Newly-updated Menu of Customer Services

Services and New Solution Allows Customers to Focus on Core Value Added Capabilities.

SoftBrands, a global leader in next- generation enterprise software for businesses in the manufacturing and hospitality sectors, today announced a newly-updated menu of customer services. In response to significant customer interest, Fourth Shift users can now take advantage of full Remote System Administration (RSA) and Hosting capabilities as part of Fourth Shift’s new Solutions Marketplace.

SoftBrands’ Remote System Administration service allows its customers to focus on running their business while SoftBrands performs their system administration remotely. The service is attractive to Fourth Shift clients for a number of reasons, including increased system availability, cost savings and a solution to IT staffing problems. The service also allows existing IT staff to focus on more business-critical projects while SoftBrands performs more routine system-related tasks.

Additionally, SoftBrands offers the option of full system hosting, providing Fourth Shift customers with an enterprise-class computing environment for all of their systems — operated, managed and maintained at a remote site. Fourth Shift Support has always helped its customers keep their systems stable, efficient and running cost effectively.

Force, Inc. is a Fourth Shift customer that has been utilizing the Remote System Administration service for over a year. Mike Crawford, Force’s controller, explains his company’s decision to have SoftBrands administer their system. “The choice for us was either training a new Fourth Shift administrator, or going with the less expensive RSA alternative, which ensured we would never have a staffing turnover problem. We are very pleased with the program and as a bonus, SoftBrands has helped us identify areas for improvement in the way we run the system, which has positively affected our business.”

“Our new Solutions Marketplace offerings go beyond traditional support to ensure our customers have a continuous, stable system, allow them to comply with new business rules and get the most value for their money,” said Terry Peterson, vice president of customer support, SoftBrands.
