AOL & PGA TOUR Announce New Relationship

America Online and the PGA TOUR today announced a new alliance to provide AOL for Broadband members with extensive multimedia golf coverage of the PGA TOUR, World Golf Championship and Champions Tour tournaments.

Under the agreement, PGA TOUR will provide video tournament previews, daily round summaries and instructional content at no cost to AOL for Broadband members.

“We are pleased to join with PGA TOUR to provide AOL for Broadband members with exceptional coverage of both PGA TOUR, World Golf Championship and Champions Tour events,” said Carlos Silva, Senior Vice President, AOL News and Sports. “Clearly, with the increasing popularity of golf, we know our members will enjoy the opportunity to view highlights and previews as well as instructional videos. With this agreement, AOL Sports now offers comprehensive coverage online, with game by game and event by event highlights for all major sports.”

Under the new agreement, PGA TOUR will provide AOL for Broadband members access to a variety of content, including:

— PGA TOUR Highlights: A daily audio/video package providing a summary of the day’s play for each PGA TOUR, World Golf Championship and Champions Tour event;

— Tournament Preview: A weekly audio/video preview of the upcoming PGA TOUR events;

— A selection of audio interviews from the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and other golf tournaments throughout the term of the deal

— Instructional Videos: A variety of video instructional segments from leading PGA TOUR professionals and instructors on topics such as driving, chipping, putting, etc.

This new agreement expands AOL’s growing list of comprehensive sports content available to its members. AOL Sports provides sports enthusiasts with access to a wealth of on-demand programming, Webcasts, stats, news and extensive features on all five major sports franchises, professional and college levels as well. Enhancements to AOL Sports include a dynamic welcome screen with embedded video welcoming fans, a customizable scoreboard, a programmable area for AOL for Broadband fans to customize their sports page to receive news from their favorite pro teams and a fantasy sports initiative that allows AOL members to play for free or to become a league manager for a significantly lower price than comparable offerings.
