Ask Jeeves Upgrades Email Storage Too

Share

Not to be left out of all the email storage upgrade fun, Ask.com has announced that they too would be increasing the amount of email storage its customer’s receive.

However, the upgrades affect their recently acquired Interactive Search Holdings properties. As of now, Ask.com doesn’t offer an email service.

Ask Jeeves Inc. has decided to increase email storage to 125 MB for their three portals, Excite.com, iWon.com, and myway.com. This larger storage amount will come at no cost for users.

Excite.com’s email service will feature a paid option that will allow users to receive 2 gigabytes of storage for $19.95 a month. According to the article, email accounts on myway.com will not feature any advertising.

“My Way, iWon and Excite all have extremely loyal users who deserve an email product that is as robust as any other on the market,” said Scott Garell, Executive Vice President and General Manager, US Sites for Ask Jeeves Inc. “The decision to offer our users a more compelling email product is the first step in committing Ask Jeeves’ resources to further build on the success of these brands.”

Not only is Ask Jeeves Inc. increasing storage, they will also be making over 1 million dormant email addresses available to members. Ask’s improved email storage will be available to all three portals in September.
