Toolup.com Peer Review – Reorganize For Clarity

Share

This is what I think about toolup.com

You may need rename or rearrange things a bit. For instance
– Logon item in top menu could have been called Login
– Sales item in top menu could have appeared before Shopping Cart
– Shopping Cart should not be first.

I like TABs. Your Sponsored Manufacturers Tab gets blue when selected, other TABS do not.

Your Categories menu has Careers item first. Why do you have Careers first? I find your careers page, which does not list what positions you have open. Does it mean you do not have openings at this time? On you Careers page your Categories have just one item – Careers. Needs fixing.

Your “Home-> Bulk+Entry” page also have one item in Categories: Bulk Entry. I think, I start understand now, you want to show the category I am at at the moment. I think I’d like to see all categories. The Bulk Entry page says “If you know the Website Item number, you can…” What if I do not know the item number? Why don’t you tell me where I get it? What do I do next? I think I would rename Bulk Entry to Quick Cart

I like your Help page. I think Help item should be in the main top menu. I would add main menu items at the bottom of your page as well. Just text simple HTML links. It would give it better, more complete look and benefit for search engines rankings. I would move Careers from categories to main menu as well.

Your links page could be improved. When I looked at it, I thought this are the people who paid you to have you link to them. Why should I use this links? Tell me why they are great, how can I benefit if I go there.
