What Kind Of Leads Will Bring You MLM Members?

One of the Internet companies I help to run sells advertising and leads primarily to the MLM industry. Everyday I hear people trying to get a business off the ground. It’s tough. They have a product they like. They have a product they trust. They have a web site produced by the organization they have joined, yet they can’t seem to make a dime. Sometimes by the time they get to me they have already spent hundreds of dollars on different types of advertising. They are dejected, demoralized and defeated. They are smart yet the dream of a home-based business alludes them.

If you look at their situation then at first glance you want to rack this up to some MLM scam. In reality you can’t. Most MLM’s are real companies producing real income. The MLM model has been around a long time because it works. It provides a low barrier to entry and quality products however, most of the real money is produced if you have 100’s of people under you using and selling the company’s products. How do you find those people?

If the MLM offer appealed to you. It must appeal to others just like you. In fact it does! There are thousands upon thousands of people who dream of owning a home based business. What you need to succeed is leads.

Lead companies try to bring quality leads to people just like you. Quality means:

1) The leads will be fresh within a 24-hour period. 2) The leads are typically exclusive to your company and not resold. 3) The leads are from people who actually want to hear about your products or services.

For Home Based Business leads like MLM the term you most often hear about is Business Opportunity Leads.

Business Opportunity Leads fall into 3 general categories. They are:

1) Custom lead generation. This is where the lead form looks like the company making the offer. The individual filling out the form receives specific information about the company right on the lead page. These leads typically run from $1.25/lead to $4.00/lead depending on if they have been phone verified. Phone verified means that someone has recalled the lead to ensure all of the information is correct. These leads are best used if you plan on calling the prospect yourself. We sell a lot of these to national call centers.

2) Generic lead generation. This is similar to the above description however the information given on the lead form is very generic. It will talk about Home Business Opportunities not about a specific opportunity. These typically start off at around $0.75/lead and go as high as $4.00 for a phone verified lead depending on the volume purchased. Most people buying these leads are probably just stuffing them into an autoresponder.

3) Autoresponder Leads. Autoresponder leads are typically generated in a “co-reg” (co-registration) environment. Co-reg leads are produced when you sign up for an offer and 6 other offers are included if you opt-in or opt-out. These leads are very inexpensive to purchase and are generally placed right into an autoresponder like http://getresponse.com. The autoresponder will drip on the prospects until they either buy, join or opt-out of your list. Leads in this category run about $0.07 each. For a lot of people this is all they will ever buy. The reason this is all that they will ever buy is that they hate making phone calls to prospects. They just want people to sign up. If they get enough leads then they are pretty much guaranteed some people will sign up. It’s really a number’s game. A great source for these leads is http://www.autoresponder-leads.com

If you can find yourself a quality lead company it can save your business. There is no point in starting a business only to watch it fail within 30 days and take all of your hopes and dreams with it. You started a business to work from home, now that you are home use quality leads to help you move forward.
