You Are Unique – Aren’t You?

Share

Every business knows that it has to have a Unique Selling Proposition – a USP – to differentiate it from the rest.

Without a USP there is no compelling reason for anyone to buy from you – no matter what you are selling.

So why is it that so many people set up shop on the Internet with no perceivable USP at all?

The answer is clear: they don’t know what their’s is.

There are five questions you can ask yourself to find or develop your own online USP:

o Why should someone buy from me? o What do I do that is different to everyone else? o What do I provide that is different? o How do I treat my customers/visitors differently? o Why should they want to come back?

If you can’t find a compelling answer to any of the questions then your site probably has no USP and very likely will make no sales. Then you must search your soul and try to figure out what you can change so that you have a crystal clear answer to at least one question.

If you have found answers to several of the questions, chose the one you think is the strongest and rebuild your site around that core concept.

Without a USP you are as noticeable as a firefly on a sunny day.

With a USP you are a million-watt searchlight cutting through the darkest night.
