The talent keeps pouring into Facebook headquarters. The most recent addition (and the first of more to come, Facebook sources tells murdok), is Mike Schroepfer, also known as Mozilla’s vice president of engineering.

Mozilla’s VP of EngineeringAlso known as one of PC World’s Fifty Most Important People on the Web 2007. Also known as one of Laptop Magazine’s the 25 Most Influential People in Mobile Technology.
So, what we’re saying is, he’s got some cred.
Schroepfer, who before Mozilla was CTO at Sun, will join Facebook as Director of Engineering, reporting directly to boy-wonder CEO Mark Zuckerberg. A Facebook spokesperson says Schroepfer will lead some of the company’s highest profile engineering projects.
“Mike has a lot of experience building great products and engineering team,” said Zuckerberg. “At Mozilla, he built Firefox 3 and manages the product development process — a particularly impressive position given the global, collaborative and open process in which Mozilla operates and develops its products. Facebook has similar values and Mike will be a great addition to our engineering team.”
Schroepfer said he was looking forward to applying his experience in large-scale development to some of Facebook’s key engineering challenges.
Facebook’s been stacking its executive deck recently, snatching talent from all around Silicon Valley, including former Googler Sheryl Sandberg, who is now chief operating officer at Facebook.
