Yellowpages Launches New Mobile Search Tools

Yellowpages.com has launched two new mobile search products, including one for Apple’s iPhone and a free downloadable application for other cell phones.

The first application developed for iPhone and iPod Touch owners lets users find local businesses and services by visiting yellowpages.com. Once there users will be able to access information including user ratings, maps, and driving directions.

The other mobile search offering is a free, downloadable application that works with 20 AT&T cell phones. The application can retrieve listings for local restaurants, ATMs, gas stations and airports that can be saved as favorites for later use. It also has an auto-complete feature for quicker searches. The feature remembers terms that have been searched for in the past and plugs them in automatically in the search field. Users with GPS-enabled mobiles can map a location and receive driving direction.
